All Good Things Have Small Beginnings

La Roche advertisement (early 1950s) by the ingenious Lilian Bassman
I have another blog, one that I operate as a professional laday where I write about a very specific topic and in my humble opinion, it's a wonderful blog. But I need an outlet, a place where I don't necessarily have to worry about my grammar or anxiously count unique visitors. I want to talk without expecting anyone to talk back, although if anyone does, that'd be great too! Can you tell I was the type of girl who kept a journal in high school? Haha, it was mostly about my "prospective" boyfriends, but please don't worry, this blog won't be focused every detail of that one time I kissed Max B. outside school during our rehearsal for Hamlet. So -- as I'm sure you're wondering -- what will be the focus of this blog? It'll be about whatever tumbles into my obsessive, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor-ing (#problems) brain and shit I like. Here are some of those things:

romance : romantic comedies, love stories, dramatic kisses, quotes about soulmates, weddings, etc.

books : since leaving school, my taste has ping-ponged all over the place so there'll be as many posts on Edith Wharton as there'll be on The Hunger Games.

television : I consider myself a "television buff" but that's just a fancy way of saying I watch boatloads of tv without remorse (#represent)

vegetarian food : you know those bad vegetarians they write about? the ones who only eat carbohydrates and could give a shit about protein? I was one of those for awhile and I'm trying to reform my habits. damn, it's hard, so I'll try to actively post on what I make/would like to make/am forcing myself to make.

one man named Arlo Hammersmith : oh, you know, it's the typical "college sweetheart" story...I moved in with Craigslist roommates I'd never met, I crushed, he didn't, we hated each other and then we had sex and it was glorious and from then on, BOOM! we're in love. Yes, that's the real story and yes, I know it's eerily like the premise of New Girl.

films : who doesn't like movies? it's like not liking warm cookies or puppies or sunshine.

style : dressing up is the fun-est! maybe "Why I Love Style" should be my second post because to sum up my love of clothing is nearly impossible. here goes: my style is warmly colorful, eclectic, vintage, feminine, 50's housewifey, retro, and French new wave-ish. I'm one of those House of Zooey Deschanel devotees.
